"Before we started using the copilot in my classroom, my students were very anxious about writing and coming to me with questions that they could answer themselves (for instance: "Is this a sentence?"). Many of the questions my students came to me with were questions that stem from their own anxiety about writing and the pressure that they put on themselves to excel. This has, at times, taken away from my ability to support the students who would benefit from more targeted support with writing and it has been an interruption while I try to work with other students, especially since I am the only teacher in the classroom. The support offered from the copilot in particular has served as a buffer and resource to help my students navigate through the different stages of the writing process more independently, which has given me the ability to provide more targeted support to students one-on-one or in small groups."
